Criminals

We spent a lot of time with criminals this week.

Some of them kept spouting truisms about "family," and some of them were Melissa McCarthy.

We don't to be criminals, but we sure do like watching movies about criminals.

If you don't show up for the IP (seriously, who has even heard of this?), come for the cast. Does this movie portend adaptations of other Vertigo titles? If you didn't understand that last sentence at all, well I guess you'll just have to listen to the episode, won't you.

NO we are not done with the Fast & Furious Franchise!

Did you know CJ has seen ALL EIGHT of the Fast and Furious movies MULTIPLE TIMES? Jordan certainly didn’t. But it’s a good thing, because it turns out there’s no one better qualified to nerd out about these movies.

Join us for an earnest (if belated) conversation about this singular, cacophonous franchise.

Coming up next week...

Our OTS episode next week (Monday, August 19th) is going to be an uncharacteristically shallow dive into IMDb's top 250, plus a less-shallow dive into the film that has retained the #1 spot on that list for more than a decade: The Shawshank Redemption. It'll be a fun episode.

And then on Friday, August 23rd, we're going to try to find Cate Blanchett in Where'd You Go, Bernadette? It shouldn't be hard.

ANNOUNCEMENTS!

Merch!

A lot of you have asked (and asked, and asked) where you can buy Nerd Critic stuff, like shirts, to show your Nerd Critic pride.

Well, we finally have an answer.

At the Nerd Critic Shop! (Actually, technically, it's called the Reel Contender Shop, where Nerd Critic begrudgingly shares space with other Reel Contender Productions, but we don't have to talk about that.)

So go get you some.
